- Proper maintenance and cleaning of natural and man- made (cultured) stone, ceramic tile, masonry surfaces, and grout
- The theory behind and reasons for proper tools, chemicals, and equipment
- How to protect surfaces, technicians, and building occupants.
- How to perform maintenance-related tasks involving the afore mentioned surfaces
